West Nile virus fears forced closing of Central Park last night>>>>
It is just a matter of time before that damn virus ends up in the
mosquitos here....why don't we do aerial spraying. That might head it
off. Many southern cities spray for mosquitos routinely. They sure are
thick around here...all the time, not just at night...Just imho.

Answer:
I'm all for annihilating the mosquitos (I'm very allergic to them, and
they seem to love my blood more than most). I'm not sure that I like
the idea of aerial spraying, at least not with organochlorine
pesticides, however. I'm not entirely convinced that the West Nile
Virus is worse than the pesticides. Maybe if there were a mosquito
phermone method, or a mosquito predator that could be released. At
least those methods wouldn't have any human side effects. I'd definitly
be willing to pay the extra tax $ to eradicate the mosquitos / WNV and
not use organochlorines.
