Absolute necessity! The other poster is quite correct. Campmore has a
super 2-man dome screen mosquito tent at around 4 lbs. You can set it up
in your room then just lift it up by the frame and place on your bed
(will cover up to near queen-sized). Get the screen tent WITH A FLOOR
ATTACHED!! NOTHING (no insect types) can get inside. Also, the Campeche
side of the Yucatan is a plague of mosquitoes all year round.
Cost at Campmore is around $69.00 US. I tried one out on the Mosquito
Coast of Honduras. It's super!

If you wait to buy one until you are there you can help the local economy, not
have to lug it down in you bag, and get one specifically designed for use with
a hammock. The two man dome sounds great, but do you plan to sleep on the
floor, or set up the tent on the bed? Where there are mosquitos my experience
is that mosquito nets are sold, and usually at prices much lower than in the US
