Question:
Not sure if anyone mentioned this remedy for Mosquitoes yet as I didn't open
up all messages on this thread but taking Vitamin B twice the recommended
daily dosage for a week prior and during your trip works. Mosquitoes don't
bother me for some reason and if they get really thick, just a small amount
of deet works but I know several people that seem to attrate Mosquitoes. I
have one friend who says if there was a mosquitoes within a mile, it would
find him. Vitamin B works and now he tells me no deet needed even in heavily
infested areas. I've never tried it myself but then again, I've had very
little trouble with Mosquitoes so there is really no need.
Answer:
Sounds good for yard use at your home but for camping, no way. A) Too big
and bulky to haul around. B) the idea of the unit is to collapse the
Mosquitoes population, not necessarily keep all mosquitoes away (although
I'm sure it will reduce the number from day one). Even the manufacturer says
it takes 6 to 8 weeks to collapse the mosquitoes population in a 1 acre
area. The idea is to leave it on 24 hours a day to collapse the mosquitoes
population, not to eliminate immediately surrounding mosquitoes. Think about
it, it mimics the body to draw mosquitoes; If you have two people in a given
area, does the person closer to the woods only get bit? No, both people get
bit.
