Question:
Any suggestions on mosquito nets? we are travelling to India and SE Asia
on a budget and don't know whether we will need one or not and, in case
we do, which ones would be the best (mesh, brands, etc)?
Answer:
-Hostals and buget accom ( at least the ones we use) do tend to supply nets
if needed.
Having said that, we still always take our own mossie net.
Every year my husband complains- cos I always pack it in his bag- that its
not needed ! But every year we stay in places, that whilst malaria is not a
problem, there are still plenty of creepy crawlies around.
Now I prefer to keep the bugs out of the room totally if I can, so If its
really hot and we want to open a window we fix the mossie net over it.
We've a got a double size one from Millets, with an umbrella like top.
-Well, we did too last year, cycling in Lao, Thailand and Cambodia, during
the monsoon, partly because there are some really evil strains of malarai in
the area. However, we did not use it a single time in eight weeks.
